Snowy Owl Gold Corp. – Geoscientific compilation of the Panache property and registration in Frankfurt
Vancouver, British Columbia – (Newsfile Corp. – May 5, 2021) – Snowy Owl Gold Corp. (CSE: SNOW) (FSE: 84L) (“snowy owl“or the”Company“) is pleased to announce that Geologica Groupe-Counseil (Geologica), of Val d’Or, Quebec, has completed a geoscientific compilation on the Panache gold project 100% owned by the company (the” property “), located in the urban area-Barry Greenstone Belt, Quebec, Canada.
The geoscience compilation succeeded in identifying several potential areas on which to focus exploration efforts. Highlights of the geoscience compilation are summarized below.
Summary of the Panache property
As shown in the compilation map in Figure 1, the 12 claim, 676.74 hectares, Panache Gold Project is based on the same geology of the Urban-Barry greenstone belt that hosts the numerous gold showings of Osisko Mining and Bonterra Resources immediately around the property. Geophysically, within the property, the Urban-Barry formation exhibits several INPUT electromagnetic anomalies and a high magnetic axis. In the southern half of the property, structural contact between the Urban-Barry green stone and a granitic pluton may be associated with a favorable metamorphic halo that could harbor altered fractures and mineralized zones. A fault is mapped in the northern part of the property which may also represent a target for structural exploration.
Very little exploration work has been done on the property. In 1989, a small-scale mapping and outcrop sampling program was carried out in the northern part of the property. A single grab sample from this program readjusted 10 ppb Au, and mapping revealed the presence of intermediate to mafic volcano-sedimentary rocks containing a quartz-carbonate vein and a vein containing pyrite and bands of cherty (exhalite). with 1 to 2% pyrite.
The Property is located in the Quebec region of Eeyou Istchee Baie James, about 100 km east of the town of Lebel-sur-Quevillon (figure 2), it is easily accessible all year round via a network of paths foresters.
“The Snowy team looks forward to showcasing our Quebec gold assets this year, and we are delighted with the company’s recent listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange,” said Raymond Wladichuk, CEO.
